How will you know you have inner peace? What does it even look like?

Welcome to the Inner peace series. In the next 5 editions of this newsletter and my podcast, I will be talking about Inner peace! Here is what's coming up!

  1. What does it look like, and how do you know when you have it?
  2. What steals your inner peace
  3. Why is it important to find inner peace
  4. How do we find inner peace
  5. Is it possible to find inner peace even in the world we live in today?

I get that inner peace isn’t something you can touch or measure, but you sure will know when you don’t have it. Let’s talk about what might happen when you don’t have inner peace.

It might look like…

😟Waking up at night for no apparent reason, and not being able to go back to sleep because you are immersed in a whirlwind of thoughts you cannot stop!

😟 Staying in the agony of indecisiveness over the smallest things!

😫 Saying yes to every request coming your way, because you believe your value comes from how much you do for other people.

πŸŽπŸ˜” Having everything, the cars, the job, the family, the holidays, that most people would wish for yet still feel empty inside…

I am sure you get the picture…

Now let’s look at what it looks like to have inner peace

πŸ₯° Inner peace looks like when you can get back to sleep even when you wake up thinking about something, knowing that it will all be OK.

πŸ₯° It looks like being able to smile even when things are seemingly going wrong in life.

πŸ˜… When you are late for a meeting at work because of someone cutting in front of you, instead of swearing and getting upset, having a deep sigh of relief and repeating to yourself- I am exactly where I need to be right now! You might find as you go past the junction there was a big pile up and if that car hadn’t cut in front of you to stop you at the light, you might have got involved in the pile-up yourself!

It might also look like...

🎯 Making decisions easily without having to ask so many others, and just trusting your gut!

πŸ™ Being able to have gratitude for what you already have even if it may not be so much right now.

😍 Doing what makes you happy without worrying about what others might think of you

😊🎯 Taking personal responsibility for your own life instead of being a victim of your circumstances.

You are starting to get a very clear idea of whether you have inner peace or not, are you not?

Now ponder on whether you have inner peace in your life or not. Next week we will talk about 3 things that steal your inner peace every single day. Stay tuned...
