"How to set boundaries with people who push themselves upon you without your consent!"

 

This was the question I answered on today's podcast episode!

 

You too might have people in your life, who put you under pressure to do something without even giving you a chance to think.😟

 

So, you end up saying yes, but deep down you are saying NO!

 

Examples: Go for a few drinks after work! Attend a meeting (instead of going to your child’s school event).

 

You might feel pressured to say yes first, but then call to say no with many excuses, which doesn’t feel good to either party.

 

So why is it that you might be afraid to say NO to people?

 

It is because of FEAR!

 

There are two fundamental fears that drive every human behaviour (which is a topic I covered in my weekly video two weeks ago,  

 

1. Fear of not being good enough

 

2. Fear of abandonment

 

These two deepest fears drive any behaviour you have, even though you might not be consciously aware of it. But how do these fears affect you saying YES every time instead of saying NO to people?
