What does NO mean?

What does it 'mean' about you?

NO means, NO. A complete sentence.

It means NO you will not do what you are asked to do at that moment.

Whether it is
Turning down a job,
A request from a colleague, a neighbour, your kids,
A friend asking you to go somewhere,
Going to a meeting

You don't have to justify it, you could if you want to, but you don't have to.

How they feel about you saying NO is for them to deal with!

Saying NO does not MEAN anything about YOU!

It just means you don't have the time right now, you don't like to do it, you have other things you would rather do, it is not safe to do etc.

It allows you to set and stick to your boundaries to preserve your physical and mental energy.

It is not bad or good, right or wrong. It just is. A complete sentence you chose to use at that point in time!
